According to the National Cancer Society, cancer is the number two leading cause of death in the US; 1 in 2 males and 1 in 3 females will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetimes, with a 63% survival rate. Every year, 560,000 people die in US alone, and even more will go without proper treatment and care. Over the last 10 years, large advances have been made in cancer treatment and research, yet these numbers still gloom near the top of the list of deadliest diseases. Through fundraising efforts, it is my goal to aid the Lance Armstrong Foundation in the effort of taking cancer off the list of the top 10 deadliest diseases and to finally find a cure.

I need your help!

On August 13th, 2009, I set off on a bicycle tour covering more than 8,000 miles across the country to raise funding for the Lance Armstrong Foundation, helping them in their advancement of cancer research development while increasing knowledge and support for people living with cancer. My trip will take me from Acadia, Maine to Vancouver, BC to San Diego, California. My trip will continue to Las Vegas, Nevada and eventually ending at Mount Zion, Utah if weather and time allow. Follow me on my journey and help support my cause!
